In 2006 my artist collective was invited to produce a show for the Diesel Cafe in Davis Square. I produced paintings that resembled old advertisements turning the characters into mascots for The Miracle Five coffee brand. This was our third show but it was the first time that our personas became a central theme for an exhibition.
This was also the first time that I began to use color and paints. I kept it simple since mixing my own colors and painting in general was such a foreign concept to me. These paintings were very popular and I sold all of them giving me the confidence to continue trying my hand at it. One painting still hangs at the Diesel to this very day.
